We have an immediate, critical opening for a highly experienced Caregiver or CNA in Huffman, TX. You will provide essential personal care and daily living support for an individual with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) while working alongside and supporting the client’s home health clinical team.
We are specifically seeking an experienced professional caregiver with at least 5 years of direct, paid caregiving experience. Candidates with backgrounds in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, home care agencies, or other professional care settings are strongly preferred.
Experience caring for fully immobile clients and/or working around ventilators and other complex care equipment is a major plus.
At Aloma Healthcare, Inc., we take care to the next level. Based in The Woodlands, Texas, our licensed and bonded non-medical agency supports our team with excellent benefits:
Professional Caregiving Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of direct, paid caregiving experience working for a home care agency, healthcare company, facility, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or similar professional care setting.
Please note: Family or informal caregiving experience alone does not meet the 5-year professional experience requirement for this position.
CNA Certification:
CNA certification is preferred but not required. Highly experienced non-certified caregivers who meet the professional experience requirements are encouraged to apply.
High-Acuity Experience:
Experience caring for fully immobile or total-assist clients is strongly preferred. Previous experience working around ventilators, feeding tubes, or other complex medical equipment is a significant plus.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a clean, comprehensive background check.
Open Availability:
Must have the flexibility to cover shifts as needed.
Absolute Schedule Consistency:
This client relies heavily on a predictable routine. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability are essential.
Transportation:
A valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation are required.
This is a non-medical support role, but the caregiver will work in a high-acuity home care environment. The ideal candidate will be:
Personal Care & Hygiene:
Provide total personal care, including bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and appropriate skin care.
Mobility & Positioning:
Assist with safe transfers, turning, repositioning, and other mobility needs to maintain the client's safety and comfort.
Meal Preparation:
Plan and prepare meals and assist with oral nutrition protocols as outlined in the non-medical care plan.
Light Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment around the client's care area.
Companionship & Communication:
Provide attentive companionship and assist the client with communication needs, including learning to work with the client's Eye-Gaze communication system.
Collaboration:
Work seamlessly alongside the home health nursing team and promptly report changes in the client's comfort, condition, or needs.
This position requires an experienced professional caregiver who is confident working in a high-acuity home environment and understands the importance of consistency, attention to detail, and compassionate hands-on care.
