ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role of Advanced Electrical Engineer you will be part of team of talented engineers responsible for inventing, developing, and maintaining hardware and software solutions for first responders around the world. If you have a passion for life-saving public safety, web technology, or embedded systems apply for this job!
Responsibilities
Join a team responsible for end-to-end product development for first responders
Responsible for all hardware related development and minor software development for various products
Individual contributor, collaborate with teams, customers, and collect feedback.
Be part of entire product development life cycle: idea inception, architecture draft, design, testing, deployment and customer feedback
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
3+ years of product development experience.
Proficiency in industry standard schematic capture and PCB layout.
3+ years embedded system design, build, and troubleshooting experience.
We Value
Experience in high availability systems
Experience in Xpedition, Altium, or Allegro
Experience with DDR, LVDS, and/or PCIe
End-to-end product design experience
Experience qualifying products for CE, UL, and FCC certifications
Surface mount soldering and rework
Experience with single-wire, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and/or ethernet communication
Knowledge of design guidelines for EMC and safety requirements
Minor embedded system programming (e.g., I2C/SPI commands, simple IO)
Independent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent written and verbal communication
Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation and presentations
Knowledge of telecom, radio, and/or fire industries
