Job Summary

Seeking Advanced Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME).  The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced fighter pilot aircraft operator with Squadron Commander experience who will work to develop, advocate, liaise, and integrate United States Space Force (USSF) and Air Combat Command (ACC) programs.  This position will act as an SME supporting Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System requirements generation and provide expertise in military operations and exercises, employment of emergent capabilities, and support for ongoing capability development objectives.  This candidate will support USSF and coordinate with ACC for planning, organizing, training, and equipping of cutting edge, classified technologies supporting the Combat Air Forces.  This position can be remote but will require extensive CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Essential Job Functions

• Act as an SME supporting USSF capability-development activities


• Provide operational and analytical analysis to document MAJCOM requirementsRegularly interface with DoD, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, Numbered Air Forces and other government organizations when performing duties


• Provide advice and assistance to leadership in areas of mission needs and requirements analysis, concept of operations, exercise development, execution, evaluation, platform integration, and support planning


•  Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementation of procedures, policy, and guidance supporting critical classified programs

The ideal candidate possesses a good understanding and working knowledge of sound maintenance processes, including flight-line operations, manpower and resource management, safety and certification policies, and established operational practices.

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.), Systems Engineering


• Minimum 12 years of operational experience, including: Extensive fighter aircraft operations background


• Extensive experience in fighter operations, requirements development, exercise development, execution, and evaluation


• Experience with Special Access Program content, policies, and requirements


• Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills


• Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders


• TS/SCI required to start
