Role Overview:

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our elite team taking care of inpatient Orthopedic/Neurosurgery patients. In this role, you'll lead the care for surgical and medical oncology patients, working hand-in-hand with a stellar healthcare team.  As part of a team of over 900 APPs at MSK, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families, all while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program

  • NCCPA certification and BLS Certification

  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

  • 2 years of inpatient experience in orthopedics and/or neurosurgery

  • Medicine or Critical Care is strongly preferred 

OR

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations

  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

  • Related National NP certification and BLS certification

  • 2 years of inpatient experience in orthopedics and/or neurosurgery

  • Medicine or Critical Care is strongly preferred

  • Resourceful in securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently

  • Effective communicator

  • Relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people

  • Adaptable in approach and demeanor to match shifting demands in real time

Additional Information:

  • Location: Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY

  • Hours:13.5-hour shifts, This is a night position, 5:30p-7:00a, with weekend and holiday rotation required. (12 shifts every 4 weeks) 

  • Reports to: Director, APP

Pay Range: $155,500 - $197,400/annually
