Job Description - Advanced Provider - Specialty Clinic

Citizens Health is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to work full-time at Citizens Medical Center Specialty Clinic.

Family Center for Health Care - an outpatient rural health clinic,

Citizens Medical Equipment - our durable medical equipment business,


Palace Drug Store - our outpatient pharmacy..

Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, Ks



Position Information: Under the leadership of the Department Manager and/or Nurse Supervisor, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with nursing staff and other health care team personnel in the clinical setting.



Provider will report to the Specialty Clinic Manager.



Days/Hours: 8AM to 5PM, 5 days per week



Pay Range: Dependent upon licensure and experience.



What you’ll do:



The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for Outpatient Services plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a critical access hospital setting. This position involves working collaboratively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care in the specialty clinic and infusion/oncology clinic. The APP focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of medical conditions, with an emphasis on continuity of care, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.



 What you bring to the table:



Education:



  • Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program.

  • Physician Assistant: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of practice.

  • National certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) required.

  • Certification in oncology or infusion therapy (e.g., ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate) preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.

  • Wound Care Certification preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.

    Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty care, infusion, wound care or orthopedic settings preferred.

  • New graduates with relevant clinical rotations or internships will be considered
