The Quality Control Specialist ensures product and process quality with a focus on PE Advanced Quality, managing 4M and engineering changes, resolving issues through root cause analysis, and verifying corrective action effectiveness while ensuring compliance with automotive standards. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Support quality activities related to supplier part quality and new model readiness
Assist in investigating and analyzing defects from suppliers, new model launches, and internal processes
Support root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implementation of corrective actions
Participate in verification of corrective action effectiveness through data tracking and follow-up
Assist in 4M and Engineering Change (EO/ECN) management processes
Support new model quality activities to ensure requirements are understood and followed
Maintain quality documentation such as inspection records, work instructions, SOPs, and change records
Collect, track, and report basic quality data (e.g., PPM, defect trends)
Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers for issue follow-up and resolution
Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and automotive standards
Participating in continuous improvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned.

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required
QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
1–5 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or related field (automotive preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Basic understanding of quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, root cause analysis)
Familiarity with quality documentation (inspection, SOPs, work instructions)
Ability to collect and analyze basic quality data
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
Exposure to manufacturing processes and production environment
Basic understanding of 4M concepts and change management (EO/ECN)
Knowledge of automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949)
Experience with supplier quality or new model quality support.
Working Conditions: Office setting, repetitive standing, walking within and between buildings. Travel possible
