WHO YOU ARE

A master organizer

You live in the details - timelines, budgets, vendor contracts, RSVPs, and run-of-show documents are your natural habitat. Nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.

A strategic thinker

You don’t just execute events - you think forward. You anticipate the needs of donors, alumni, and school leadership before they arise and build experiences that achieve meaningful goals.

A collaborative partner

You are the consummate team player who works gracefully behind the scenes. You serve the vision of your event hosts with pride and make everyone around you look their best.

Energetic and adaptable

You bring high energy to the work - even when plans change at the last minute. Evening and weekend events are part of what makes this role rewarding, not a burden.

A skilled communicator

You write with clarity and warmth - whether it’s a donor invitation, an email blast, or a post-event debrief. You know how to tailor your message for every audience, from board members to alumni to vendors.

Mission-driven

You genuinely appreciate what independent school advancement is about. You understand that every event is an investment in relationships - and ultimately in students.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • 5+ years of experience in event planning and fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit or independent school environment

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge

  • Highly organized with superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously

  • High energy, self-starting, and flexible - with strong prioritization and multitasking skills

  • Initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Creativity and a positive attitude

  • Willingness and flexibility to manage and participate in evening and weekend events as needed
