Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa is a luxury retreat catering to adventure-seekers and the active Pacific NW lifestyle. Our carefully appointed 33-room hotel offers a breathtaking view of the ocean, Haystack Rock, and Cape Kiwanda. Pacific City is off the beaten path on a relatively undiscovered stretch of the majestic Oregon Coast. Cape Kiwanda, in Pacific City, enjoys a storied connection to the ocean, local rivers, beachfront, and majestic outdoor playground. Surfing, kayaking, hiking, photography, beachcombing, and fishing are just some of the outdoor activities enjoyed in this beautiful beach town.

A day in the life...

The Adventure Supervisor will directly oversee the daily operations at the Adventure Center and will provide leadership. Including but not limited to oversight of financials, coaching, training, and inspiring team members. Working with your Coordinator to ensure all schedules are completed, collaborate with operations on creating new adventures. This position will work to ensure that all guest experiences are flawless and fully in line with our brand promise of “Extraordinary Coastal Experiences.”

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the teams at the Adventure Center to ensure that all team members are professional, kind, and ready to deliver a flawless experience to our guests.
  • Ensure that the Adventure department is consistently meeting the standards of our brand promise. Be responsible for curating and delivering the highest level of service through well-trained and managed team members.
  • Regularly collaborate with stakeholders to create, improve, and deliver a seamless guest experience. Resolve all guest issues through the lens of our core values.
  • Function as the primary contact for guests arriving and departing the Adventure area, engage and assist each, providing exceptional, warm, personalized, and knowledgeable service.
  • Ensures that daily operating procedures have been completed properly by all staff members when on shift. Report any concerns directly to the Director of Resort Operations
  • Collaborate with the reception team to ensure Reception Desk coverage.
  • Ensure collaboration between the spa & front desk, including cross-training for all spa team members
  • Champion culture for the Headlands team, fostering an environment of accountability, learning, and fun!
  • Help ensure that all team members are trained on the Headlands brand and knowledgeable about the overall goal of the Headlands experience. Ensure each team member understands their unique role in delivering amazing experiences.

Requirements

You own this if you have…

  • 1-2 years of experience in a guided tours setting, preferably in a resort setting. 
  • Prior adventure or tour guiding  experience preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • At least two years’ customer service experience required
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with cash handling and completing customer service transactions.
  • Must possess a current and valid OLCC server's permit, Food Handlers, and CPR card.
  • Must possess a current and valid guide & outfitter recognized professional license (GORP).
