Job Description - A&E Business Development Manager

A&E Business Development Manager

The Senior Business Development Executive is responsible for developing relationships and building new client accounts in the architecture and engineering space. This individual will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, regularly meeting and communicating customer inquiries, and prospecting and generating new sales opportunities to increase revenue through the promotion of alternate & adjacent solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEAn expertise in developing new client relationships and working proactively to enhance existing partnerships.The ability to capture and grow new customers in architecture and engineering fields.Understand customer issues and requirements to present specific industry solutions.A bachelor’s degree in a related field and or equivalent experience. 10+ Years of business development and or project management experience.CORE DUTIES

Demonstrate an understanding of the business and CPL’s Value Proposition and promote that within CPL and with clients.Create, maintain and nurture external client relationships. You are responsible for business development, marketing, and contract development.Develop, maintain, and learn from colleague and National Practice Leader interaction, communication is two-way.Develop and employ tracking and measurements that are indicators of business health.Mentor current staff on business development acumen to enrich networking skills.Coordinate marketing efforts within your practice area, geography, and among other leaders including networking, conferences, research, relationships, opportunities, pursuits (proposals), generation of revenue, and business development action plan to develop client relationships, win work, and fill the pipeline.Proficiency in technical writing as well as verbal communicationResponsible for developing $3 million in fees minimum with a personal portfolio of clients that bring in $500,000 in fees at minimum at the agreed upon practice multiplier.CORE COMPETENCIES

The rate for this position generally ranges between $115K - $150K annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
