Scope of Eligibility
Open to permanent employees in a competitive title who work for the Division of Air Quality and Radiation Protection and meet the requirements below.

Description
Under the direction of a manager in a state department, institution or agency, or within a local government jurisdiction, provides a wide range of administrative services in support of a manager(s) within the area of assignment; assists in the coordination of management/administrative activities of an assigned unit or work area; does other related duties.

Specific to the Position
Responsible for registering and updating all x-ray facilities and machines in the x-ray database by processing with complete accuracy all registration and disposition paperwork using the facility file folders, computer database, and telephone to verify accuracy. In addition to preparing machine source invoicing/payments, delinquent notices, and reconciling accounts. Tracks Bureau monies using financial statements and the NCFS system. Moreover responsible for initiating the registration renewal invoicing for Machine Source, works to collect past due registration monies via phone calls and other mechanisms such as AOs and NOPs. Checks the accounts receivable database file and reconciles these accounts for refunds. Prepare monthly report for Registration. Coordinate with the Bureau of Nuclear Engineering on the collections and distribution of dosimetry badges to staff. Assist in the development of projects to digitize the Bureau’s paper files.

Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following or combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester-hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.


Five (5) years of professional experience performing complex administrative support work which must have included the interpretation, verification and/or application of department/agency rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

OR

Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.

NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.

NOTE: All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university. All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting. Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility.

License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Residency
