POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Aerial Foreman at LJA Telecom, you will be responsible for ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer standards. Responsibilities include coordinating daily job scope, enforcing safety and PPE compliance, operating aerial equipment, reviewing work quality, and communicating progress with supervisors. The position requires hands-on field leadership, the ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments, and experience with aerial construction and equipment operation.


 A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:



  • Ensuring safety measures are met up to provide a safe work zone, this includes putting out safety signage, safety cones around roadside vehicles and trailers and ensuring all crews are always wearing PPE.

  • Communicate the scope of work and delegate the crew so that everyone works in tandem to complete the job safely and to customer standard.

  • Oversee crew to ensure any task assigned is being completed safely, in a timely manner and meets standard.

  • Provide training to crew when necessary to ensure the tasks are completed safely and correctly.

  • Time management of each job to ensure daily production is met.

  • Communicate with your Field Supervisor & Manager any issues that arise, and when work is completed.

  • Take pictures of the job with the Company Cam app. Tag the pictures with the task ID number that is indicated on the Crew PO.

  • Check the quality of the work completed and make sure it is always to customer standards.

  • Make sure pictures taken of final product are showing a completed quality pic for submission to customer.

  • Ability to read and decipher prints to execute job scope accurately.

  • Familiar with aerial telecommunications work

  • Ability to handle all aspects of Aerial Construction (including, but not limited to climbing and operating a bucket truck)

  • Two years’ experience operating aerial equipment (minimum)

  • Obtains a Commercial Driver’s License (preferably – not required)


REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:




    • Maintain a valid driver's license.(Will be required to drive a company vehicle safely as needed to get to each job site to perform work.)

    • High school or GED


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Ability to perform work on active jobsite in safe, proficient manner required

    • Ability to represent LJA and its clients in a professional manner at all times



    • The ability to lift 75 lbs.

    • The ability to work outdoors in a diverse environment.

    • Must be able to work from heights from an elevated aerial device. (0’ to 80’)

    • Must be able to work on feet all day

    • Must be able to bend, climb, and squat to perform job duties in the field.

    • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.

    • Must have sufficient hand and finger dexterity to safely operate tools and equipment.

    • Must be able to detect odors and fumes as necessary for safe work performance.

    • Must be able to walk, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods in various conditions.

    • Must have adequate hearing and vision to perform duties safely and effectively.

    • Must be 21 years or older to be considered for this position

    • Must be willing and able to travel for project sites and team coordination
