Aerial Telecom Lineman

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Perform simple and complex pole transfers (Make Ready)


• Place strand, including guys, bonds, and grounds


• Jig fiber/coax


• Lash and overlash fiber/coax over existing boxes, wires, and lines


• Identify and install correct fiber storage loops


• Perform traffic control and maintain safe work zones


• Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate usage


• Document and validate as-builts for new builds and plant modifications


• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance


• Read and understand schematics and construction prints


• Work assigned shifts, including overtime as needed


• Perform all physical tasks required for the duration of the assigned shift

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Pole climbing experience required (preferred/plus)


• Ability to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions


• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team


• Physical ability to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb, and lift throughout the workday


• Strong communication skills when interacting with coworkers, homeowners, and customers


• Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance


• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus


• Ability to pass drug screening and background check


• Must be authorized to work in the United States
