Aerospace Procurement Agent

Duties and Responsibilities:

General procurement activities:

• Support with maintenance of approved supplier list. 
• Report supply chain performance to suppliers and act as needed to achieve goals.
• Establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with suppliers.
• Purchase raw material utilizing supplier portal system.
• Support AS9100 Quality Management System requirements and follow outlined processes and procedures.
• Negotiate and maintain supplier contracts. 
• Facilitate supplier non-conformance communications.

Manage Orion procurement activities using Epicor ERP:

• Review MRP for purchased product, verify and resolve demand.
• Select sources of supply, material requirements and costs for raw materials, purchase complete components, services, and outside processes.
• Issue purchase order.  

Participate in quoting process for manufactured items:

• Assess customer requirements utilizing drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
• Participate in make/buy decisions by providing supplier cost and capability information.
• Assess supplier risk based on previous performance, capabilities, and any available supplier data.
• Provide estimated material cost, outside processing cost and lead time for use in quoting process.

Qualifications:

• APICS certification and Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.  
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and AS9100.
• Ability to interpret aerospace engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Thorough understanding of aerospace purchasing procedures and policies.  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
