We are seeking an experienced toolmaker or builder.
As a Tool Maker / Builder, you will be responsible for building precision tooling and fixtures for the Aerospace and Defense industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-tenured staff with a solid company. Plenty of hours available on day-shift in a clean facility.
Responsibilities:
- Build and repair Tools such as jigs, fixtures, work platforms & dolly's.
- Operate and maintain various machinery such as lathes & milling machines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Use computer-aided drawings to create tooling components
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions
- Assist with quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Troubleshoot issues with tools and machinery to identify and resolve problems
Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques using lathes & milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Solid understanding of tooling principles and practices
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with tools and machinery
