Job Description - Affiliate Account Manager

Job Description


This position is responsible for the origination and management of affiliate accounts – specifically developing relationships with affiliate marketers selling either products or generating leads for services on a performance (CPA) basis. Sound fun? It is. Candidate should have at least one year experience as an account representative in a sales capacity, preferably in the online and/or advertising space, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is a confident, gregarious and intelligent person, and expected to be adept at prospecting, negotiating, communicating, and managing accounts in a high-paced but fun environment.

  • Monitor affiliate activity, analyze performance, identify areas of improvement, and recommend ways to increase affiliate-generate revenues
  • Maintain high level of communication with affiliates, recommend new campaigns for affiliates and provide performance feedback to our advertisers
  • Supply creative packages, links, and reporting to affiliates as needed
  • Communicate and monitor traffic sources on all campaigns
  • Recruit new affiliates through research, referrals, and other avenues
  • Set and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for revenue growth
  • Represent us at industry conferences
  • Teach and mentor junior-level affiliates on affiliate marketing

Qualifications

 

  • At least (1) year of experience working in a sales capacity, preferably in the online space
  • Go-getter and self-starter with proven closing, communication, negotiation, and management skills and an ability to schmooze affiliates
  • Understanding of online advertising principles
  • Ability to effectively manage and build client relationships
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to succeed in and enjoy a fast-paced, quick-witted environment
