Job Description - Affiliate Marketing Program Manager

Under the direction of the Director, Cross Property Marketing, the Affiliate Marketing Program Manager is responsible for generating incremental revenue by driving business through affiliate partners and independent agents. Oversees the development and execution of affiliate programs, strengthens partner relationships, and ensures effective referral activity across all enterprise entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develops and maintains strong relationships with affiliate partners and drives business within assigned markets by creating compelling programs and incentives.

2. Collaborates with Creative and Cross Property Marketing teams to produce marketing materials—including direct mail, social media content, and digital campaigns—that promote Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and events.

3. Works with Promotions and Database teams to plan in‑house promotions, events, and offers for independent agents and affiliate partners. Ensures compliance with gaming regulations and prepares both pro forma analyses and post‑event performance reports.

4. Travels to affiliate partner properties for support and event execution.

5. Collaborates with Creative Teams and Cross Property Marketing to develop marketing materials to promote events.

6. Analyzes guest frequency, distance, spend behavior, and other marketing trends to identify market opportunities and recommend targeted strategies.

7. Oversees affiliate program operations including project monitoring, data collection, research, executive summaries, direct mail initiatives, and promotional procedure implementation. Manages ongoing communication across properties, internal teams, and creative partners.

8. Assists Player Development teams with group coordination by arranging guest travel arrangements—including flights, reservations, and ground transportation—ensuring accuracy and a seamless guest experience.

9. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

 EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or related field is required.

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Casino Marketing or affiliate/partner marketing is required.

  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Must have intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite products (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Access).  

  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work well with other departments. 

  • Outstanding leadership qualities including the ability to work in stressful situations. 

  • Highly motivated with an outgoing and assertive demeanor. 

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with guests and team members. 

  • Must consistently maintain a professional well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene. 

  • Ability to effectively present event/tournament information to large groups of guests and respond to questions from guests, and other departments, as needed. 

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations. 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS 

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. 

  • Driving Responsibilities: Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles. 

  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS  ENVIRONMENT 

 

The physical demands and working environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting. 

  • Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. 

  • Incumbents may be  to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. 

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. 

  • Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally. 

  • Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. 

  • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. 

  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone. 

  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings,  via videoconference and over the telephone. 

  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility. 

  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties. 

  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours. 

  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
