Job Description - After Sales Team Lead - Hiring Immediately

Position Summary: The After Sales Team lead will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, after the initial sale, through warranty and the selling of additional parts and services. The Lead will assist in guiding the team to meet the established goals.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:

  • Receive and fill telephone, fax, and online parts orders and or warranty submissions.
  • Set goals, assign tasks, provide direction, coach the team members, and resolve conflicts.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and the Director.
  • Responsible for processing parts sales or warranty transactions
  • Fill customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are drop shipped only.
  • Respond to sales and or warranty leads by determining parts and or services needed.
  • Prepare sales slips, sales quotes, or warranty submission documents.
  • Determine replacement parts required, according to the inspection of old parts, customer request, or customer description of malfunction.
  • Responsible for issuing purchase orders while complying with manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Responsible for determining part stock numbers and the corresponding and prices by verifying with the manufacturer, consulting the catalogs, view diagrams, and manufacturer’s prints or computer displays if needed.
  • Must collect payment or obtain credit authorization to process transactions.
  • Provide customer service explaining products, services, warranties, back orders, and other pertinent information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain work area to locate and track parts efficiently; stocking parts as they arrive.
  • Responsible for examining returned parts for defects, and exchanging defective parts or refund payment.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and inventory areas; keep areas organized according to prearranged systems.
  • Advise customers on the substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available. Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments, to determine whether similar parts may be machined to the required size.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
  • Comply with Driverge Core Values at all times (LOVE IT).
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent; Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5+ years of warranty experience within the automotive industry preferred

Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience is required.
  • Good energy and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background check

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.).
  • Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing more than 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
  • Participate in required company safety programs, training, and PPE guidelines.
