School Year: 2026-2027 (Starting August 2026)

Location: Wilmington, NC (Cape Fear Academy Campus, 3900 S College Road)

Limited and somewhat flexible Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM (We offer flexible scheduling if you can't work all 5 days!) There may be longer days available on occasion, according to our school calendar.

What You’ll Do (The Fun Stuff)

As an Assistant, you’ll work under the direction of our program coordinator to create a safe, relaxed, and engaging environment for students in grades PK–8.

• Be a Mentor: Build great relationships with kids and model our core values of respect, integrity, resilience, and accountability.
• Lead the Fun: Help run awesome activities like sports, recreational games, arts & crafts, music, and skits.
• Keep it Safe & Organized: Supervise student groups, help maintain clean and organized spaces, and ensure everyone has a blast safely.

Who We’re Looking For

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have experience working with children (babysitting, camp counseling, daycare, or coaching is perfect!).
• You have a passion for things like outdoor education, crafts, music, or sports.
• You are energetic, reliable, and a great communicator.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or currently working toward one) is preferred, but not required! We value the right experience and attitude above all.

Physical Check-In: Because you'll be hanging out with active kids, you should be comfortable standing/walking for most of your shift, speaking respectfully to individual and groups of children, across a playground if needed, and occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.
