  • Delivering obsolescence solutions such as reverse engineering, repair, new design, supplier partnerships, circular economy approaches, and make-to-print strategies to meet form, fit, and function (FFF) specifications

  • Providing assembly/repair instructions, creating new design drawings, developing required documentation, and updating engineering change orders

  • Reviewing vendor technical proposals to ensure compliance with specifications and product safety

  • Preparing mechanical, electrical, and interface schematics, drawings, and documentation for assigned systems while meeting deliverable schedules

  • Coordinating with vendors and customers to confirm compliance with requirements and ensuring design validity

  • Maintaining knowledge of rail and electrical-electronic norms and standards such as FRA, AAR, IEEE, and ANSI

  • Supporting bid proposals for repairing, redesigning, and overhauling rail industry systems

  • Operating within the ALSTOM Change Control Board (CCB) and leading design and gate reviews for electrical parts

  • Degree in Railway Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in rail industry standards and design

  • Knowledge of rolling stock systems and components

  • Familiarity with safety management systems and safety risk assessment

  • Experience or knowledge in project management (a strong asset)

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
