Afternoon Quiet Room Teacher

Austin Waldorf School is seeking a part-time afternoon early childhood teacher for the 2025/26 school year.  This person would be responsible for a group of up to 12 students, supporting their transition from lunch, implementing a short rest time and quiet activities, supervising outdoor play and pick up time. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated successful experience with preschool/ kindergarten-age children and ability to effectively manage a group of children on their own.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 12:30-4:00
Possible addition of extended day hours until 5:30. 

Requirements:

• Experience with early childhood education, at least one year


• CPR and First Aid certification

Preferred:

• Experience, familiarity and/or interest in Waldorf education.
