Position Available: Part-Time After-School Band and Instrumental Music Teacher (Grades K-8)

We are seeking a passionate and versatile After-School Band and Instrumental Music Teacher to lead and expand our growing music program for elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging instruction in piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, fostering creativity, collaboration, and musical confidence. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead group and individual music lessons for students (grades K-8) across a range of instruments: piano, string, woodwind, brass, and percussion.
• Direct after-school band rehearsals, ensembles, and student performances.
• Develop a creative and innovative curriculum that nurtures musical skills, creativity, and teamwork.
• Encourage entrepreneurial mindsets by guiding students in organizing performances, composing music, and exploring music technology.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

Compensation- $45.00- $50.00 per hour

Our ideal candidate will come to us with:

• A bachelor’s degree in music, music education, or a related field is preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Proficiency in at least two of the following: piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, or percussion; ability to support instruction in all.
• Experience teaching music to children ages 5–14, preferably in a group setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking in students.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic school community.
