Aggregate Dispatch Assistant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Aggregate Dispatch Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate requires strong communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and the able to work alone or with a team. 

Key Responsibilities:

•  Assist customers in scheduling material deliveries
• Communicate on telephone, 2-way radio and CB Radio
• Create and update excel and work documents
• Create and update orders and projects in our aggregate software (Command Alkon)
• Monitor trucks on deliveries
• Check orders for accuracy
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
•  Assist in managing daily dispatch operations and schedules.
•  Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
•  Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and inventory.
•  Support the dispatch team in resolving any issues that may arise during transportation.
•  Help prepare reports on dispatch performance and logistics metrics.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Dispatch Software (Command Alkon).
• Time Management is a must.
• Previous experience in dispatch or logistics is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in using computer software and dispatch systems.
•  Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
