You will lead all aspects of our aggregate plant operations — including safety, production, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability — while driving a culture of excellence. You will ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production and guide the team toward achieving operational goals.
What you will be doing
- Provide daily operational guidance to plant personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and all MSHA and environmental regulations
- Enforce quality standards and hold team members accountable to performance expectations, policies, and procedures
- Lead and support team members through training, mentoring, and performance guidance to foster a safe and effective workforce
- Promote and maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment, fostering a culture of safety excellence
- Monitor production performance, record downtime, and maintain accurate training and operational records
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes and participate in business-related improvement projects
- Assist in developing and executing short- to mid-term mine plans to meet operational targets
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, submit and track work orders, coordinate repairs, and minimize equipment downtime
- Manage inventory levels, ensure accurate production reporting, and reconcile data with inventory flyovers
- Order parts, materials, and supplies as needed, accurately track spending, and ensure production costs remain within budget
- Communicate with the sales team to ensure product supply meets sales demand and address customer service issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and escalate operational concerns
- Assist in defining, planning, and delivering capital or process improvement projects
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant and company objectives
What we would like from you
- Five or more years of experience in the aggregate industry with knowledge of operational best practices, including mine planning, plant processes, and material flow
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage change
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands while communicating effectively and resolving conflicts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong working knowledge of Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
Location and other key details:
- This is a full-time, permanent field-based role at our Inouye site
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with some hours required on Saturdays as well
- Occasional overtime will be required
- 25% travel will be required to assigned plant location(s) and construction job sites
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Fitness for duty testing, drug and alcohol screening, and criminal background checks are required
Salary Range: $96,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD
