Are you a proven leader with deep knowledge of aggregate operations and strong business acumen? Looking for an opportunity to lead a high-performing team and drive results in a dynamic environment? We are hiring a Plant Manager for our Ewing site in Colorado. If you have the skills to inspire teams, manage change, and deliver operational excellence — we want to hear from you!

You will lead all aspects of our aggregate plant operations — including safety, production, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability — while driving a culture of excellence. You will ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production and guide the team toward achieving operational goals.

What you will be doing

  • Provide daily operational guidance to plant personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and all MSHA and environmental regulations

  • Enforce quality standards and hold team members accountable to performance expectations, policies, and procedures

  • Lead and support team members through training, mentoring, and performance guidance to foster a safe and effective workforce

  • Promote and maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment, fostering a culture of safety excellence

  • Monitor production performance, record downtime, and maintain accurate training and operational records

  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and participate in business-related improvement projects

  • Assist in developing and executing short- to mid-term mine plans to meet operational targets

  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, submit and track work orders, coordinate repairs, and minimize equipment downtime

  • Manage inventory levels, ensure accurate production reporting, and reconcile data with inventory flyovers

  • Order parts, materials, and supplies as needed, accurately track spending, and ensure production costs remain within budget

  • Communicate with the sales team to ensure product supply meets sales demand and address customer service issues

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and escalate operational concerns

  • Assist in defining, planning, and delivering capital or process improvement projects

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant and company objectives

What we would like from you

  • Five or more years of experience in the aggregate industry with knowledge of operational best practices, including mine planning, plant processes, and material flow

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage change

  • Experience operating heavy equipment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands while communicating effectively and resolving conflicts

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong working knowledge of Excel

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred

  • Preference for Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce

Location and other key details:

  • This is a full-time, permanent field-based role at our Ewing site

  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with some hours required on Saturdays as well

  • Occasional overtime will be required

  • 25% travel will be required to assigned plant location(s) and construction job sites

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs

  • Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check as part of the pre-employment process

Salary Range: $96,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD

Why BURNCO?

  • Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values your growth and success

  • Annual performance bonus program that rewards your contributions

  • Enjoy competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and more

  • Experience our inclusive, collaborative, and safety-focused culture
