Agribusiness and Agritourism SME

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze targeted agribusiness and agritourism sectors, identifying growth opportunities, challenges, and market trends.
• Lead SWOT analyses, competitive benchmarking, and best practices reviews to inform strategic decision-making.
• Provide sector-specific strategic guidance to farmers, rural businesses, policymakers, and investors.
• Advise on the integration of emerging agri-tech solutions (e.g., precision agriculture, agritourism digital platforms) with traditional farming and tourism practices.
• Develop reports, toolkits, and training materials to support business development and capacity-building initiatives.
• Collaborate with government agencies, industry associations, and economic development organizations to promote sector growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Tourism, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications a plus).
• 5+ years of experience advising rural businesses, agribusinesses, or agritourism enterprises.
• Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, rural tourism markets, and emerging agri-tech innovations.
• Experience conducting market research, feasibility studies, and financial assessments for agricultural projects.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to diverse audiences (farmers, investors, policymakers).
• Industry board affiliations (e.g., agribusiness associations, tourism councils) are a strong plus.
