Rivian is looking for AGV Technicians to support our plant operations in Normal, IL. As an AGV Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced automated guided vehicle systems and supporting equipment in one of the fastest growing industries in the country and make a true impact on growing the Electric Vehicle Industry. This role is located in Normal, IL and reports to the Manager of Maintenance.
Perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on AGV equipment and supporting systems.
Observe AGV equipment in operation to identify root cause of issues, troubleshoot failures, and restore equipment to standard operating condition.
Perform inspection, adjustment, calibration, testing, and replacement of defective components including sensors, wiring, motors, controls, and mechanical assemblies.
Execute regular equipment inspections, maintain inspection records, and identify abnormalities before they impact production.
Respond to AGV faults with urgency and partner with operations, engineering, and vendors as needed to minimize downtime and production disruption.
Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
Update maintenance records and review CMMS history to support troubleshooting, planning, and reliability improvements.
Drive and participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, uptime, process stability, and cost savings.
Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Industrial Maintenance experience required.
Experience with AGV, AMR, conveyor, or automated material handling systems required.
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required.
