AI Applications Team Leader

As a Cognyter you will: 

• Direct a team and own the strategic roadmap for our AI applications.
• Mentor and coach your team, driving every individual toward professional and technical excellence.
• Build platforms that consolidate complex data to help analysts make critical, real-world decisions.
• Partner with AI Data Science and Product teams to deliver sophisticated investigative tools.
• Ensure high-quality standards for software that directly impact global safety and investigative outcomes.
• Lead new projects from scratch while managing and improving our existing, large-scale systems.
• Join a team that fears no technology and constantly tests the boundaries of investigative power.

For this mission, you’ll need:

• At least 5 years' experience leading high-performance teams.
• At least 8 years’ hands-on development experience in Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience building microservices in cloud (preferably GCP/AWS/Azure) environments using cloud native technologies (such as: Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems using technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Experience with both relational (preferably PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (such as: MongoDB).
• Experience with building products integrating AI/ML engines and agentic workflows (hands-on experience - an advantage).
• Proven experience owning high-velocity production, building resilient systems that ship fast while maintaining absolute stability.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (working with global teams – an advantage).
• BSc in Software Engineering, or equivalent (an advantage).
