The Role

We’re looking for a talented AI Development Engineer to join our growing team in a hybrid role based out of our San Diego office. This position is ideal for a mid-level software developer with solid experience in C#, Angular, and Azure, who’s also excited about leveraging AI-enhanced development tools like Cursor, ChatGPT, and Bolt to accelerate innovation.

In this role, you’ll help design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based applications that power TDO’s next generation of dental software. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that directly impact dental professionals and their patients.

What You’ll Do

• Develop & Maintain Applications: Build scalable, maintainable web applications using C#/.NET and Angular.
• Full SDLC Ownership: Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle — from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Cloud Development: Design and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB.
• AI-Powered Development:
• Use Cursor for intelligent code navigation and real-time suggestions.
• Apply ChatGPT for unit test creation, API design, and technical documentation.
• Leverage Bolt (or equivalent tools) for AI workflow automation and rapid prototyping.
• Collaboration & Project Management:
• Manage tasks, sprints, and epics in Jira (or equivalent tools).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Version Control & Delivery: Use GitHub for version control, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing with C#/.NET and Angular.
• Strong understanding of Azure architecture and cloud services.
• Solid grasp of GitHub workflows, including branching, reviews, and deployments.
• Practical experience with AI-powered development tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, Bolt, or similar).
• Experience managing Agile projects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools.
• Familiarity with Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint planning.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models via APIs or SDKs.
• Certifications in Azure, AI/ML, or Agile methodologies.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making.
