X5 Labs is a stealth-mode AI startup building a work model for regulated enterprises: an ambient discovery platform that learns how employees actually work and then augments their workflows with custom AI models deployed end to end inside the customer's environment. It focuses on large regulated enterprises, primarily top-tier banks and financial institutions.

X5 Labs is a Series A company ($23M raised), founded by repeat entrepreneurs with deep roots in Israeli intelligence and AI research, on their second venture together.

The Role

X5 Labs is hiring an AI Engineer (5-10+ years) to own the technical build-out of a custom AI/LLM platform for one of the top five banks in the US. You will join a tight-knit, execution-focused team that ships real AI in production, working closely with the core engineering team and a marquee enterprise customer. About 20% of the role is customer-facing.

What You Will Do

• Fork and customize the core AI/LLM platform for a top-five bank's environment, owning the build from architecture to deployment.
• Work daily with the Israel-based engineering team to merge customer-specific work into the main product.
• Own production deployments, integrations and reliability in a regulated enterprise environment.
• Serve as the go-to technical contact for the bank's engineering stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues end to end with high independence.

What You Bring

• 5-10+ years of engineering experience
• Production AI/LLM systems experience (GenAI, RAG)
• Strong Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD, REST APIs and cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Comfort as the technical point of contact for enterprise stakeholders
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments (banking a plus)

REVENUE: 21.25% of first-year salary. Est. fee per hire $43K-$74K; 4 seat(s) = up to $234K if all filled.
