Job Description - AI Infrastructure Supply Chain Lead

About the Company

Armada is a full-stack edge infrastructure company delivering compute, connectivity, and sovereign AI/ML to some of the world’s most remote places. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Armada’s solutions are deployed in over 60 countries globally for organizations ranging from energy to defense.

With over $200 million in funding, Armada is backed by top investors such as Microsoft (M12), Founders Fund, and has strategic partnerships including Starlink, Skydio, and NVIDIA. We are looking for the most brilliant minds in the world to join us.

Working at Armada means taking ownership, driving autonomy, and delivering impact. You’ll tackle challenges that haven’t been solved before and help build something transformative from the ground up. What you do here will not only define your career but help further Armada’s mission to bridge the digital divide for customers around the world.

About the role

As the AI Infrastructure Supply Chain Lead, you will be the strategic architect of our global AI infrastructure supply chain. You will lead the end-to-end sourcing for high-performance compute (HPC) and sovereign AI cloud platforms. This role requires a rare blend of deep technical fluency in NVIDIA architectures and aggressive commercial acumen to ensure supply continuity in a volatile global semiconductor market.

Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Ecosystem: Identify, vet, and manage Tier 1/2 OEMs and regional distributors for high-density servers, network gear, and cabling. Build a resilient multi-vendor strategy to eliminate single points of failure.

  • Commercial Leadership: Drive end-to-end contract lifecycles, including Master Purchase Agreements (MPAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and complex warranty/support negotiations.

  • Technical Risk & Inventory Management: Monitor global semiconductor trends to mitigate long-lead-time risks. Support Solution Engineering by ensuring "just-in-time" inventory of mission-critical hardware (GPUs, NICs, Switches).

  • Cross-Functional Roadmap Alignment: Partner with Systems Engineering and Architecture teams to translate technical specs into scalable, multi-year procurement roadmaps.

  • System Integration Support: Oversee the procurement and delivery of integrated components, including NVIDIA Grace CPUsNVLinkInfiniBand, and ConnectX-8 technologies.

  • Sovereign AI & Compliance: Architect procurement workflows that satisfy stringent security, data residency, and national compliance requirements for Sovereign AI cloud deployments.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical STEM field.

  • HPC Expertise: 5+ years of experience in high-performance computing (HPC) or hyperscale datacenter procurement environments.

  • NVIDIA Tech Fluency: Deep understanding of NVIDIA Blackwell (GB200/GB300) architectures, including the performance characteristics of NVLink and NVLink Switch systems for AI training and inference.

  • Systems Knowledge: Foundational understanding of the hardware-software stack, including operating systems, device drivers, and firmware versioning.

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical engineering requirements and executive-level financial/commercial constraints.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Global Logistics: Proven experience navigating regional distributor landscapes in APAC and EMEA.

  • Modular Infrastructure: Experience with rack-level integration for modular or Edge datacenter deployments.

  • AI Workload Optimization: Practical knowledge of how hardware specifications impact specific AI workloads (LLM training vs. low-latency inference).
