Description 

JFL Consulting, LLC looking for an AI/ML Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and build high-performance AI/ML systems, including tailored preprocessing and inference pipelines optimized for NVIDIA Morpheus and comparable platforms. This role requires strong expertise in deep learning frameworks, GPU acceleration, and parallel computing, along with experience in developing neural networks and other machine learning models to solve complex challenges. 

Responsibilities 

AI/ML Pipeline Development 

• Design and implement tailored preprocessing and inference pipelines using Python and C/C++, optimized for NVIDIA Morpheus and similar AI/ML platforms. 
• Integrate NVIDIA software libraries (CUDA, TensorRT) for GPU acceleration to enhance model performance. 
• Develop efficient, modular, reusable, and scalable AI/ML workflows for deployment in production environments. 

Model Development & Optimization 

• Build and optimize deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, and ONNX. 
• Apply knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including tree-based models, neural networks, clustering, and unsupervised learning. 
• Work closely with teams to fine-tune and enhance models for specific problem domains. 

High-Performance Computing 

• Implement parallel and high-performance computing techniques to develop multiprocessing workflows that optimize CPU and GPU performance. 
• Apply advanced computational methodologies for complex data-intensive AI/ML applications. 
• Ensure seamless integration of AI/ML models into high-performance computing environments. 

Collaboration & Documentation 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into end-to-end systems. 
• Document AI/ML architectures, code, workflows, and best practices to ensure clarity and maintainability. 
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Experience 

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML software engineering or related fields. 
• Experience fine-tuning and deploying large language models (LLMs) such as Llama or Mixtral in production and air-gapped environments, with focus on optimization, integration, and secure operations. 
• Strong hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, ONNX). 
• Expertise with NVIDIA CUDA and TensorRT for GPU acceleration. 
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and shell scripting for AI/ML system development. 

Technical Skills 

• Deep knowledge of machine learning models, neural networks, and clustering algorithms. 
• Experience with parallel computing and high-performance frameworks for optimized processing. 
• Familiarity with data processing, model training, and scaling solutions across CPU/GPU environments. 

Communication 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to effectively present technical concepts and collaborate with various stakeholders. 

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field. 
• Minimum DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification or equivalent highly desired. 
• Advanced certifications in AI/ML (e.g., NVIDIA Deep Learning Specialist, AWS Machine Learning). 
• Experience with distributed computing platforms and high-performance computing systems.
