About the Role

As the Carrier Operations and Commercial Growth lead at Atropos, you will be pivotal in driving the design, development, and implementation of the commercial carrier operations aspect of the vertically integrated company. Atropos will operate a fleet of its commercial utility UAS as a service, for both defense and commercial customers. In this role, you will be responsible for taking Atropos from 0 to 1 in this function, and you will work closely with the engineering, manufacturing, test, and certification teams to ensure we are set up for successful carrier operations.

What You’ll Do

• Work on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment from across our portfolio of programs and products:


• Develop the commercial air carrier operation function for the company, to include crew management, ground operations, carrier certification, safety, and logistics


• Assist in the design and operational implementation of the automated cargo handling system


• Develop and implement a commercial growth strategy, which could include UAS sales, leases, contracts, or internal carrier operations


• Perform other duties as a utility function in the early stages of a high growth tech start up


• Lead the design and implementation of crew training solutions


• Assist in the development of sustainment operations, to include site selection for MRO

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline


• Master’s degree in Business or Operations Management


• Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (manned or unmanned)


• Experience in commercial air cargo carrier operations


• Defense fixed wing program experience


• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

Base Salary: $155,000 to 235,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
