Job Description - Aircraft Accessory Repair Technician



DAC Engineered Products is currently seeking an Aircraft Component Repair Technician to be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding a wide range of aircraft accessory components. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in aviation maintenance.

Salary range: $22 - $35 per hour


Duties and Responsibilities
• Disassemble, clean, and inspect aircraft accessory components to identify wear, damage, and defects.
• Accurately document inspection findings, noting any necessary repairs or replacement parts.
• Perform repairs, overhauls, and reassembly of components following manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.
• Ensure all work is completed within established timeframes and according to approved procedures.
• Utilize various hand and power tools, as well as specialized testing equipment, to diagnose and repair components.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Perform functional and operational tests on repaired components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Follow proper safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, hours worked, and work completed.
• Assist in maintaining a well-organized and clean work area to ensure efficient workflow.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to aircraft accessories and maintenance.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively within the team to ensure efficient operations.
• May work throughout the different repair departments including electromechanical, avionics, and fiberglass composites.



Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a relevant technical training program is preferred.
• Two plus years of experience in aircraft accessory maintenance and repair preferred.
• Proven experience in aerospace repair or related electromechanical, avionics, or composite work.
• A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft components.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly and accurately.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes in the aviation industry.


Post-offer drug screen and background checks are required 



Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk/hear and occasionally required to
sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; the employee is occasionally
required to reach with hands and arms. Often standing for extended periods. This position may require the ability to
occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
