Job Description: Aircraft IFE Engineer 10023
Job Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: W2 Contract, 40 hours per week
Duration: 2 years
Description:

  • This position is to provide support to cabin electrical, IFE, and WIFI systems. Support repair and alterations of the cabin electrical systems via EO or EA.
  • Working with other engineering teams, create or revise task cards, AMM, IPC, AWDM, and CMMs for cabin electrical systems.
  • Investigate and develop fixes for reliability items on cabin electrical systems.
  • Work with suppliers and OEMs to develop alterations to existing systems, including possible removal and replacement of a system or component to support ongoing efforts.
  • Support line operations by review of daily out-of-service aircraft or degraded systems and provide technical support.
Responsibilities:
  • Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field.
  • Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
  • Approach to problem solving balances technical product, cost and schedule.
  • Works without appreciable direction; work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results.
  • Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
Qualifications:
  • BS/MS Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience with Aircraft Electrical Systems
  • Experience with Aircraft IFE and WIFI systems
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and work well with other groups.
  •  Level to be determined based upon qualifications and experience of candidate
  • Familiarity with Aircraft Interiors
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs
