Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Aircraft Mechanic 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the B-2 Modification Team. This role is located at Whiteman AFB, MO.\n\nThis position requires a security clearance, so an active clearance is preferred, but a clearance request will be submitted for the selected candidate if necessary. The nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working in a classified environment; cell phones and personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas. \n\nYour duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):\n\n * Must obtain and maintain qualifications/certifications as directed by the supervisor to include but not limited to; structures, electrical, low observables, hydraulic couplings, and engine/tailpipe removal/installation.\n\n * Perform a variety of operations such as remove/install aircraft engines/tailpipe, electrical wiring, coaxial cables and low observables.\n\n * Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.\n\n * Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions to properly identify and correct problems in minimum time.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.\n\n * Measures parts with precision tools such as, micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.\n\n * Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. \n\n * Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor.\n\n\n\n\nThe selected candidate must be willing to work various shifts depending on business needs, including, but not limited to: 1st shift 0630 \u2013 1500, 2nd shift 1430 \u2013 2300, 3rd shift 2230 \u2013 0700, and overtime when required.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Level 3: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience in the Aviation and Aerospace industry and / or additional education.\n\n * Level 4: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of relevant experience in the Aviation and Aerospace industry and / or additional education. \n\n * Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. \n\n * Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year. \n\n * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.\n\n * This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces. \n\n * Must be able to pass a physical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active DOD Secret Clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 6 years. \n\n * Completion of A\u0026P certificate program or Associates degree in an applicable field.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $54,500.00 - $90,800.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $64,700.00 - $107,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
