Job Description - Aircraft Mechanic

A dynamic opportunity has opened up in Georgetown, DE for a skilled and experienced A&P Mechanic to join our client's innovative aviation team. Responsibilities:

Perform daily aircraft tasks including heavy repair, maintenance, servicing, and movement with minimal supervision.

Oversee complex aircraft tasks such as troubleshooting, removal, installation, rigging, and testing of flight controls, landing gears, etc.

Train and mentor team members, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, manufacturer's specifications, and company process standards.

Read, interpret, and follow service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and drawings for modifications.

Inspect subordinates' work to maintain compliance with standards and quality of workmanship.

Document all aircraft-related actions in accordance with regulatory guidance and company policies.

Interface with program management and other departments to achieve production goals within budget and timeliness constraints.

Research, plan, and requisition parts and materials as required for projects.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards.

Complete initial and recurrent training requirements in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent with strong reading, writing, and math abilities.

At least 5 years of heavy check experience or a combination of training, education, and experience.

Prior experience with BBJ, 737-7/8/900 preferred.

Proficiency in the use of basic hand tools and equipment.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office software and discipline-specific applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.

Willingness to work extended hours when needed.
