Description
The Aircraft Records Administrator is expected to provide daily assistant to the Aircraft Records Supervisor in the preparation of permanent logbook entries and the processing of aircraft records. Provide assistance to the Aircraft Records Supervisor. Duties involved are auditing of completed maintenance work order packages for errors or omissions, preparation of permanent aircraft record entries, maintaining orderly aircraft files, processing of completed maintenance work instruction cards and other tasks as directed.
Principle Duties
1. Maintain a file system of repair station historical records in a standardized manner that complies with the record retention requirements of Part 145.219.
2. Ensures that all repair station records required to be kept by Part 145.219 are made available for inspection by the FAA or NTSB.
3. Audits all maintenance work order forms, work cards, etc. at work order close-out for omission and erroneous entries. Coordinate necessary corrective actions with a cognizant area supervisor or individuals as may be required.
4. Decipher handwritten entries on completed maintenance paperwork and convert them into intelligible plain language form or into coded form for electronic date transmittal.
5. Prepares airframe, Powerplant or APU logbook entries using hand script, typewriter or by computer means that satisfy the requirements of 14 CFR and the company’s manual system.
6. Processes work accomplishment data via electronic data transmittal or direct mail to customer computer tracking systems as required.
7. Maintains control over issuance of mechanic/inspector personal identification stamps. Retains a record of distribution.
8. Assist Project Coordinators with outside drop-in work orders.
9. Obtain customer approvals for work scope/open new work orders.
10. Act as primary customer contact on status and performance and fulfills customer needs to ensure their satisfaction and continued business.
11. Review invoices for accuracy in terms of labor, material cost, contract compliance special programs, warranty, and discounts.

2) High levels of computer literacy
3) Understanding of FAA regulations relative to content, form and disposition of aircraft maintenance records
4) Exceptional mathematical, proofreading and accuracy skills
