Read and understand blueprints and translate into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures Required ability to be certified for a half & full face respirator Adhere to all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines and regulations Work and communicate over ambient noise Work in a variety of work spaces/positions. Work spaces may include but are not limited to small, enclosed spaces, awkward, and elevated spaces. Positions may include bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, ascending/descending ladders, and/or working overhead. Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends High School diploma or GED and 1 years' experience with sheet metal structures, hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, manufacturing electrical and/or systems OR High School diploma or GED and completion of Aircraft Fabrication (AFAB) program or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license. Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs High School Diploma or GED and 2 years' experience with sheet metal structures, hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, manufacturing electrical and/or systems. Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead. Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment. The ability to pass Medical/Respiratory Exam. The ability to work any work schedule and overtime as needed by the business. Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need. Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DOD clearance in a reasonable amount of time as required by the business. Experience with structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps and stabilizers. E-2D Hawkeye experience Experience working on an aerospace manufacturing new production line Military manufacturing and/or maintenance experience Active Secret DoD Clearance last investigated within the last 5 1/2 years Knowledge of common tools, ability to record and understand precise measurements. Completion of an A&P certificate program or AFAB Program
