Airplane Mechanic A&P

Campbell Auto Group is seeking to hire a certified Airframe & Powerplant mechanic to assist with repairs, restoration, and maintenance task on GA/Light Aircraft. Qualified candidates will have experience with annual and 100 hour inspection procedures, reciprocating engine maintenance, aircraft modifications, FAA standards and A.D./Service Bulletin compliance. Schedule is flexible to reach full time hours and management is looking for a candidate who is looking to advance in their field and wants to accomplish their IA certification (with assistance available). This is a growing segment in our business design and is an opportunity to get hands on experience and be a part of a great team if people.


Basic Duties

Campbell Auto Group A&P mechanics work on aircraft from nose to tail, which means they are able to gain unique expertise that cannot be found find anywhere else.

• Perform all manner of maintenance on aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer’s recommendations and Federal Aviation Regulations.


• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems


• Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations


• Maintain a clean and safe work area


• Other duties as assigned

General Requirements

• Must hold a valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings


• 3+ years of airplane mechanic experience


• Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in US


• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees


• Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals


• Positive and professional attitude


• Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks


• May travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, and to provide temporary support for other bases


• Valid Driver's License required and must meet all company insurance criteria

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl


• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75


• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
