Pay Rate: $28.00 – $38.00/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $2,500

Overview

Allied Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Alarm Construction Technician to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in fire alarm systems who takes pride in quality work, safety, and leadership in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems and related equipment
• Lead projects by overseeing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and meeting deadlines
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and productivity targets
• Conduct and coordinate system testing and ensure all certifications are completed
• Train and mentor helpers, apprentices, and team members
• Manage daily schedules and productivity of assigned team members
• Maintain inventory on company vehicle
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams

• Fire Alarm License (FAL) required
• 2–4+ years of experience in fire alarm installation
• Experience working in construction environments (schools, hospitals, high-rise buildings, data centers)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, blueprints, and manuals
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and applicable local codes
• Ability to lead teams and manage project timelines
