Algorithm Developer - Image Processing/Machine Learning IV

We are looking for an experienced image processing algorithm developer to join the Applied Material in Santa Clara. In this position you will work with process engineers, and algorithm developers to develop and deploy custom image processing algorithms, to be used for accelerating semiconductor process development. You will be exposed to the wide portfolio of technologies and products developed in Applied Materials and will work directly with the algorithm users for continuous feedback and improvement as part of the semiconductor process development.\n\nRequires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Develop and implement image processing and Machine Learning algorithms\n * Work closely with application engineers to generate optimal images\n * Demonstrate and communicate algorithm performance to internal and external users\n * Collaborate with internal and external groups to generate data, validate results, and deploy algorithms\n\n\n\nSkills and Experience\n\n * Fluent in Python\n * Proven record of image processing, Machine Learning and computer vision algorithm development\n * 3+ years hand-on algorithm development experience\n * Experience with Open CV, PyTorch/Tensorflow\n * Experience with optimizing computational efficiency preferred\n * Experience with electron beam image processing preferred\n * Experience with semiconductor metrology and inspection preferred\n\n\n\nEducation\n\n * M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields.\n\n\n\nAdditional Skills\n\n * Clear and effective communication\n * Willing to work with groups in different time zones\n * Able to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nMaster\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n4 - 7 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nNo\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nYes\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$184,000.00 - $253,000.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
