ALM Systems Analyst

We are working with an exciting organization and they are looking to hire an experienced ALM Systems Analyst.  You will help to administer and support applications critical to the organizations application life-style management (ALM) and Atlassian application user base.  

Essential Functions:

• Gather business requirements and identify, develop, and implement solutions for engineering, software, and business teams.
  




• Promote new tools and processes to internal customers.  Drive adoption through onboarding/training, sharing of best practices, and troubleshooting of system/user issues.
  




• Administer and manage applications critical to business functions.  Includes applications such as Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Artifactory.
  




• Embrace and promote DevOps concepts and culture. Challenge existing processes and assist teams in adoption of development and project management concepts.
  




• Develop technical system guides, user training materials, and related documentation.
  




• Other duties as required by management.
  

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  




• Experience using, administrating, and managing software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins.
  




• Previous experience administering Windows or Linux-based servers
  




• Proven ability to embrace, use, and promote modern software development practices and technologies. Effective use of DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum, use of CI/CD, use of version control systems, and test-driven development.
  




• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and other standard business tools.
  

Preferred Qualifications:     

• Understanding of traditional project management concepts such as those covered by the PMBOK.
  




• Experience working with multi-disciplined engineering and business teams. Ability to understand and abstract diverse business concepts and processes.
  




• Experience in languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or similar.
  




• AWS – Experience with services such as EC2, RDS, and S3 or similar.
  




• Conceptual understanding of ‘Infrastructure as Code’. Previous use of tools such as TerraForm or CloudFormation.
  




• Comfortable working with relational databases and related concepts.
  




• Use of configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
