The Alumni Recovery Coach provides oversight and direct support services to New Start Clients and Alumni participants at a single PRM residential campus. This position works closely with the Child Care Supervisor, Safety, and Counseling staff to provide the most effective services for New Start Clients and Alumni participants.
The Alumni Recovery Coach is responsible for ensuring New Start, Aftercare and Alumni participants meet target outcomes. This position also provides biblical instruction and encourages maintaining Christian commitment and growth.
This position is responsible for integrating Aftercare into the culture of the Transformation program. The Alumni Recovery Coach delivers outreach activities to PRM alumni, is responsible for assisting with Alumni coordination, and serves as primary point of contact for identified campus and accountability partner for all campus related program participants.
YOUR TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
Support New Start clients and Alumni by researching and using community resources with an eye towards eventual reintegration to the community and self-sufficiency.
Provide assessment of the overall spiritual, emotional, and behavioral temperature of New Start and Aftercare clients.
Assist New Start clients and Alumni in accessing medical and behavioral health services.
Facilitate weekly New Start and monthly Recovery meetings in both a group and one-to-one setting, conducting and leading group activities and psychosocial modules to help clients with sober living, life skills, and coping skills.
Process assessed program fees and other client funds, following all mandated internal controls and other practices to ensure proper management of client and PRM funds.
Participate in all on-site ceremonies and off-site activities, especially that pertain to Alumni participants.
Conduct periodic visits to clients’ places of residence and churches to assess and support their transition from campus, helping clients connect with church and community as needed.
Maintain updated documentation of client engagement in program and in the community.
Coordinate Mentor/Client relationships appointments and assess the appropriateness of the relationship.
Maintain all New Start and Aftercare contracts, ensuring that they are up to date, maintained and completed in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with Aftercare Contract requirements to include monthly reports, home visits and other program expectation
Lead or participate in devotions, prayers or other organization activities that promote a credible Christian witness and lifestyle.
Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
Requirements
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree from an accredited college in Social Work or related Human Services field or a combination of experience and education is preferred
Minimum one year of experience in social services, direct client services, and mentoring
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with database software
Familiar with statutes related to HIPAA requirements
A solid and credible Christian witness and lifestyle that exemplifies Christ in character and actions
High level of interpersonal savvy with a demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills; attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and teaching experience
Highly collaborative and able to stay motivated when working independently
Excellent composure in stressful situations, effectively dealing with difficult or emotional situations appropriately, and a high level of empathy
Must meet and maintain the requirements of being an approved driver and driving a personal vehicle on PRM business
Flexible schedule, position may require some evening and weekend work
