AM & PM Server - Common House, Richmond

At the Common House our mission is simple: to be a hub for people of all backgrounds to socialize, learn, and grow. We are seeking passionate Servers to join our team. As a Server you are an integral component of our company. Our high standard of service and quality begin with you, your hospitality and your interactions with our members and guests. To be successful in this role, you should have a warm personality, be hospitable and have customer service skills while also be willing to improve knowledge on service. Creating warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells are what we, as hospitality professionals, strive for.

A little bit about our server position:

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our members and guests. They are responsible for greeting our members warmly and promptly while always exhibiting a high level of hospitality. Servers must have a passion for delicious food, learning about wine and spirits and bestowing top notch next level service.

Responsibilities Continued:

• Maintain the service standards of CH as outlined in the training program
• Complete and display comprehensive knowledge of the food menu and various liquors, beer, and wines.
• Accurately execute guest orders and requests in a timely fashion
• Consistently execute Steps of Service outlined in the training manual
• Point of Sale operation and accepting payments
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced atmosphere
• Hospitality – creating a welcoming and thoughtful experience
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers as well as coworkers.
• Keep a clean and inviting environment
• Work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Work well in a team environment

Qualifications

• 1y hospitality experience
• Event experience a plus
• Capable of lifting 50lbs
• Capable of standing for long periods of time, continuously
• Capable of working an 8 hour shift
• Must be available to work weekends (including Sundays) and some Holidays

Full and part time positions are available.

The full-service club offers event spaces, co-working spaces, a dining room, social hall, movie theatre, wine cellar and a roof top pool and bar. Birdies - a high-quality seafood restaurant - is on the bottom floor of Common House and is open to the public.
