TriCare Medical Transportation is South Jersey’s premier medical transportation company. We are a large-scale 24/7 operation with over 300 employees and 130 vehicles, providing service from our headquarters in Pleasantville, NJ and two satellite locations in Vineland and Cherry Hill.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Ambulance Billing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the ambulance billing department’s daily operations and ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims. This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of medical billing procedures, and experience directing billing teams in the healthcare environment.

Supervise Billing Operations

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the ambulance billing team, ensuring all ambulance claims are processed accurately and in the appropriate timeframe. 

Team Management

• Lead, train, and mentor billing team members. Assist Billing Manager with monitoring employee performance.

Claims Submission 

• Oversee the submission of claims to insurance providers. Ensure timely submission of claims to meet revenue goals.

Revenue Cycle Management

• Monitor and track the status of outstanding claims, work with team members to resolve denied or rejection claims. Ensure timely follow-up and resolutions.

Customer Service

• Address inquiries from patients and insurance companies related to billing issues, payments, or account inquiries.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in medical billing.
• Experience in ambulance billing or healthcare revenue cycle management.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.
• Understanding medical terminology, coding, and healthcare billing practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Detail-oriented and able to resolve complex billing issues
• Communication skills both verbal and written
• Organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills
