Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

In an outpatient setting, supports standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. They participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service. They also participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership

FT position M-F, 40 hours

The Gastroenterology Division is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee clinic operations in a busy and growing department. This role supports the NM in oversight of nurses and techs at Sawgrass GI and AC5 GI clinics, with responsibilities including day-to-day operational support, facilitating efficient patient throughput, optimizing telephone triage workflows, and maintaining clinical competency to support staffing needs. This position is a blend of hands-on patient care with administrative/leadership responsibilities, with allocation determined by staffing and operational needs. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, communicates and collaborates effectively with an interdisciplinary team, and has ambulatory/telephone triage/in-basket experience. RN with current NYS license, BSN, and a minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience required. Prior leadership experience preferred but not required.
