Job Description - AMP Front Desk Coordinator

ALH operates state-of-the-art facilities and programs to meet the evolving needs of clinical research and overall patient treatment.


 

Title: Front Desk Coordinator


Status: Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt


Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour; depending on experience (specialty, clinic volume, front office preferred)


Essential job functions/duties

  • Greet and check in patients in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.

  • Verify patient information (insurance, address, telephone number), and make necessary changes in the practice management system.

  • Provide new patient and annual update forms to patients and review forms for completeness and accuracy of information.

  • Send all imaging orders and supporting documentation to outside companies.

  • Obtain prior authorizations for imaging services as needed.

  • Schedule all imaging examinations for ALH and ASUI.

  • Call all Chandler diagnostic imaging patients, provide location options.

  • Update diagnostic imaging orders that need submission to RamSoft.

  • Close out diagnostic imaging orders: after 6 months that were not completed.

  • Scan complete forms (in addition to insurance card if applicable) into practice management system under documents>patient documents, utilizing correct naming format. **MUST BE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF SEEING PATIENT**

  • Determine the correct amount of co-payment or amount due for service for ALH and ASUI, and collect amounts before services are rendered.

  • Check patient out, through the practice management system.

  • Assist with failed faxes.

  • Assist the call center with any incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist with checking patients in for Research appointments.

  • Receive all incoming packages and notify recipient.

  • Building our monthly and quarterly internal newsletter.

  • Place kitchen supply and snack orders for 7 sites.

  • Place AMP office supply order and put away order once received.

  • Support visitors and facilities.

  • Provide walk through assistance to outside vendors

  • Data entry, report building and presentation creation

  • Maintain supply inventory

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required



  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Ability to type at least 40 WPM.

  • Knowledge of filing and charting procedures.

  • Familiar with office equipment: printer, scanner, copier, laptop

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook and Teams

  • Strong time-management skills


Education/Training Required:



  • Degree/Certification in Medical Assisting preferred

  • One (1) year of e-Clinical Works (eCW) or EHR system experience preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of Front office experience required

  • Bilingual Spanish / English (written and spoken) preferred

Travel Requirements:



  • Some inter-office travel may be required with the use of a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.
