In a nutshell //



The Analyst will play a key role in the Company's successful and growing royalty advances initiative. This position will work closely with the CFO, VP of Finance, Advances Manager, other members of the management team, and Symphonic dealmakers around the globe to provide high-quality modeling of historical and projected royalties, and models showing the IRR and ROI projections for various deal structures. This will include work related to both new business prospects and existing client renewal deals. This person will be a communicative and collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail, who is eager to support our team with all aspects of royalties analysis as well as performance reporting related to capital deployment in royalty advances.


 


What you will do //




  • Analyze historical music streaming royalties data for trends, concentration, and other insights

  • Develop royalties forecast scenarios based on historical information as well as other sources

  • Integrate royalties forecasts and potential contract terms into advance proposals for prospective clients

  • Work closely with other Symphonic team members as well as prospects/clients (artists/managers/labels) to gather and understand the required information for due diligence

  • Maintain a deal log of in-process, won, and lost opportunities, as well as a database of upcoming milestones or options related to deals currently in place

  • Prepare performance reporting on the Company’s portfolio of royalty advances

  • For larger opportunities, work closely with outside advisors to coordinate the flow of information and efficient diligence (specialty advisory firms, legal firms, etc.)



What you need to have //




  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2+ years of professional work in financial analysis, including revenue modeling/forecasting

  • Strong MS Office skills required, including advanced Excel skills (complex spreadsheets, formulas, etc.)

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Critical thinker with problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize

  • Superb attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of accountability, integrity and honesty

  • Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

  • Excellent professional references

  • Ability to operate, communicate and succeed remotely, if needed (via videoconference, phone, email, Slack, ), and responsibly achieve goals without being managed in-person


 


What will help set you apart (nice to have, but not required) //




  • Experience analyzing music royalties, developing royalty performance projections,

  • Rights/catalog valuation experience

  • Project Management Experience

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Position reports to the Advances Manager

  • Position will report to Company HQ in Tampa, Florida, but will have the ability to work remotely
