KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly budget to actual reporting, research variances, and develop variance analysis. Maintain the budget model by capturing business updates through quarterly department meetings to develop updated operating expense forecasts. Participate in the month-end close process by providing variance analysis and commentary on budget versus actual results. Contribute to the preparation of management reporting packages for senior leadership, highlighting key financial and operational metrics. Support the development of financial models to evaluate business opportunities, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis. Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis functions. Conduct industry research, peer analysis, and benchmarking studies to support strategic initiatives and to stay informed of market trends. Support the preparation of presentation materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and other ad hoc reports as needed. Engage in cross-functional projects with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a related finance role. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with proven data analysis and modeling experience. Familiarity with financial reporting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders. High level of organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
