Job Description - Analyst, Marketing

The Role

K1 is seeking a Marketing Analyst to join our marketing team and play a central role in executing the firm's external brand strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this person will touch nearly every dimension of what we do — supporting one of the most active event programs in private equity, producing design-forward digital publications, developing portfolio company case studies, and creating polished, on-brand creative assets across every channel.

This is not a role where you wait for direction. You'll own initiatives end-to-end, work across the full marketing function, and bring a high standard to everything you produce — written, visual, and strategic. The right candidate is as comfortable in a spreadsheet as they are in Canva, as confident writing a press release as they are stress-testing the development of an interactive microsite.

If you want real ownership, direct exposure to firm leadership, and the opportunity to shape the voice of a leading private equity firm — this is the role.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Editorial

  • Write and edit across formats — LinkedIn posts, award submissions, thought leadership, portfolio company spotlights, and firmwide communications

  • Own the editorial calendar and monitor content performance, evolving strategy based on real engagement data

Digital Reports & Flagship Publications

  • Play a central role in producing K1's digital bi-annual firm reports — design-forward, data-rich publications that synthesize activity across investments, transactions, talent, events, sustainability, and portfolio performance

  • Gather and organize firmwide data inputs, translate them into clear story arcs and visual narratives, and work with vendors to deliver aesthetically compelling final products on deadline

Design & Visual Production

  • Create branded assets for digital and print — social graphics, one-pagers, event materials, and internal templates

  • Manage creative vendors on larger-scale projects including microsite builds, animated content, and video production

K1 Accelerate & Events

  • Support one of the most active event programs in private equity — K1’s Accelerate and events team hosts 40+ events annually across cities worldwide, bringing together portfolio executives, founders, and industry leaders

  • Own visual design, content production, and social amplification for K1’s flagship events

AI & Process Innovation

  • Actively leverage AI tools to raise the speed, quality, and scalability of marketing workflows — from content drafting to data synthesis to design iteration — while serving as the subject matter expert and ensuring every output reflects your judgment and meets K1's standard before it goes out

  • Bring a builder's mindset to recurring processes: identify inefficiencies, build repeatable systems, and create documentation that makes the next cycle faster without sacrificing excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree - first generation college students are encouraged to apply

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, branding, communications, or a related field — experience in finance, technology, or professional services a plus

  • Strong design sensibility with hands-on experience in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite — you think visually and it shows in your work

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across formats: social, long-form, press, and executive communications

  • Analytical and organized — able to gather, structure, and synthesize large volumes of data into clear, compelling outputs

  • Self-directed and accountable; you set a high bar for your own work and don't need to be reminded to meet it

  • Sound judgment, high ethical standards, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • A positive, team-first attitude — proactive, solutions-oriented, and no task beneath you

Benefits

K1 offers a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with profit sharing

  • Unlimited PTO, plus holidays

  • Electric vehicle (EV) stipend

  • Daily catered lunch in-office

  • Company and team outings

  • Volunteer opportunities and donation matching
